Prince of Wales Rock   Rocks Isolated danger mark Dangerous rock that a steamer once found, keep to Inchmurrin side when passing through between the islands
Aber Isle Rocks   Rocks Unmarked The entire area from Ross Priory to Balamaha on the east side is very hazardous. Very shallow with rocks and sandbanks. Passage only possible with local knowledge.
Torrinch   Rocks North Cardinal Line of rocks running parallel to the island off the westerly shore.
Rossdhu  and Rossshu Bank   Sandbank and Rocks Isolated danger mark Large sandbank and shallows  100m in all directions from the mark. There is shallow water extending along the entire beach of the golf course from Rossdhu House to Finlas Water.
Bandy Point   Sandbank Port and Starboard Lateral Marks Keep within the lateral marks, keep to port going north and starboard going south
Inchgalbraith   Shallows Unmarked There is extensive shallows round the island extended up to the south beach on Inchmoan
The Geggles  56° 5'3.87"N   4°35'53.44"W Shallows North and South Cardinals The areas between Inchcruin and Inchmoan is very shallow. Its is very sandy and at times of low water can dry out.
Little Ireland  56° 4'59.94"N   4°35'8.97"W Rocks Channel & Isolated Danger Marks Rocks cover the whole area between Inchfad and Inchcruin. The channel is marked by lateral marks.Great care need to be taken in this entire areas.
Arrochymore Point   Rocks Unmarked The water to the south and north is shallow and hazardous. There are rocks usually visible at low water levels.
Inchruin   Rocks North Cardinal Dangerous rocks, exposed at low water, point is shallow.
The Narrows   Rocks & Shallows Speed Limit - No Wash zone The "Minister Rock" is exposed at times of low water and is indicated by the Green channel mark. Coming out from the south in an easterly direction is a long rock, mostly always covered by water but just under the surface. Its extremity is marked by the red channel marker. The proper course through the channel is through the lateral marks in a " Z " course.
Narrows south of "The Haven"  56° 5'1.72"N   4°36'58.11"W Shandbank Unmarked There is sandbank between Inchmoan and Inchconnachan near the shore of Incmoan as you transit south west from the north beach of Inchmoan, keep to the Inchconnachan side to the north, but avoid the shallows off the old tree with the 5mph sign.
Slate Bay   Rock Unmarked There is a rock usually submerged at the end of a strip of shallow water coming out from the shore in a North Easterly direction from the south side of the bay
Islands and Rocks off Luss   Rocks Channel & Isolated Danger Marks There are a number of small islands and rocks off Luss. The largest is Fraoch. To pass between Fraoch and the main land keep between the red lateral mark and Fraoch. The other channel to the East of Fraoch is marked by lateral marks.
Sharbau Bank   Rocks and Sandbank Unmarked This is shown marked on older charts but no mark is there today. Only a problem at times of low water.
Luss Camp Site  56° 6'34.14"N   4°38'7.79"W Sandbank East Cardinal Shallow point extending from Camp Site
Ross Isles   Rocks Isolated danger mark Between the Islands, Pilot Rock is roughly in the middle. Its is only a problem at times of low water. On the landward side of the inner island there are submerged rocks off the east side of the bay.
Pilot Bank   Rock Unmarked Hazardous rocks just north of Ross Point
Montrose Bank   Rock Unmarked This area is very rocky, only a problem at times of low water. Care should be taken as the rocks is on the shore side of the North/South course normally taken.
Inverbeg Bank   Sandbank Isolated danger mark As well as the isolated danger mark there are usually a number of poles and flags indicating the extent of the bank. There is safe water on both sides, but it is shallow at the mouth of Douglas Water at the caravan side at Inverbeg
Eilean Deargannan   Shallows Unmarked Around the Island at Rowerdennan is shallow all round, but especially on the north and west sides.
Stanley Rock   Rock Unmarked The rock is north west of Eilean Deargannan and only a problem at times of low water. ( north west of the island off Rowerdennan)
Rob Roy's Cave   Rocks Isolated danger mark Keep to the west or the mark.
Ardvorlich Bay   Rocks Isolated danger mark There are a number of rocks to the north of Ardvorlich bay and to the north west of Island I Vow
Guy Rock   Rock Unmarked Just south of Island I Vow, only a problem at times of low water.
Rubhna Ban   Sandbank East Cardinal Just north of Island I Vow on the West shore is a bank that comes a long way out to the cardinal, and dries in time of low water.
Ardlui Bay   Shallows Unmarked There are extensive shallows  on the north and east sides of the bay. 
River Falloch    Sandbanks and Shallows Unmarked The entrance to the river has an extensive sandbank that moves, entrance must be made with care. Once in the river the depth varies considerable and the bottom is hard to see due to the peaty water.
